THE MISSION
To bring people to Jesus and MEMBERSHIP in His family, develop Christlike MATURITY, and equip them for their MINISTRY in the Church and their life MISSION in the world, in order to MAGNIFY God.
Dick Terry
Pastor
Pastor Terry, or affectionately known as Bro. Dick, has been dedicated to serving Sulphur First since April 8th, 2007. In addition to his role at the church, he has also been actively involved in serving his denomination in various capacities over the years.
Bro. Dick's journey in ministry began when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of five. This early encounter with faith eventually led him to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Randall University.
With a heart for ministry and a passion for building relationships, Pastor Terry has served as a Youth and Music Minister in churches across Oklahoma and Arkansas before eventually being called to pastor Sulphur First in 2007. His dedication is evident in his involvement with the Oklahoma State of Free Will Baptists Executive Board and his role as the clerk for the Center Association of Oklahoma Free Will Baptists. He also received Randall University's Academic Theology Award in 1995.
Beyond his ministry duties, Bro. Dick enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife Teresia and their two children. He also finds joy in bass fishing and supporting his favorite team, OU football. Pastor Terry's love for preaching the Word and connecting with people underscores his commitment to sharing the message of faith and love with those around him.
